Bigfoot Food & Spirits ~ Seattle - Tacoma International Airport, North Satellite (b/t gates N1 & N16)
"This bar is worth the trip out to the north satellite terminal. Great beer and BBQ selection at a reasonable price. The only downside is it is often very busy and difficult to find a seat. They need to expand the place, particularly seating along the bar."

Pappasito's Cantina ~ Dallas - Fort Worth International Airport, Terminal A (near A 28)
"I had the tamales and a red wine sangria. The food was decent, but the sangria was excellent. The atmosphere was irritating, but I suppose that's not unusual, and it wasn't exceptionally so."

Bigfoot Food & Spirits ~ Seattle - Tacoma International Airport, North Satellite (b/t gates N1 & N16)
"Another winner here... hard to get to, unless you happen to be in this part of the airport. Good beer selection, friendly service and better than usual airport food. Also, it's just kind of a cool looking place. How do you not love a place called bigfoot right? Plus, there's plenty of good people watching. Never felt rushed, and rather enjoyed my NW brews welcoming me to this magical land called the Pacific NW. Thanks bigfoot! I believe!!"

Rogue Ales Public House ~ Portland International Airport, Concourse D
"How often are you in the Pacific NW right? the beauty of this part of the country, besides the landscape and friendly folks, is the copious amounts of very good beer. This place raises the beer bar to a whole new level. One of my biggest complaints with airport bars is the lack of true micro brewed good beer. Coors and Budweiser can get real old real fast. But the options at Rogue are ALL incredible and will definitely do you right before jumping on the plane. 5 stars for being awesome and priming my liver with NW fermented deliciousness. "

Boulder Beer Tap House ~ Denver International Airport, Terminal Level 5
"A great place to meet someone returning to Denver or stop for a quick beer before heading out, it's located right next to the Security lines on the southwest side of the terminal. Big TV's and great selection of 8 - 10 Colorado beers as well as a full bar. They also serve "flights" of beers to sample. Great look, great atmosphere and great beer."

Cibo Bistro & Wine Bar ~ La Guardia Airport, US Airways Terminal, Food Court
"Agreed. For an airport, it's a very nice restaurant. Enjoyed how clean it was and well staffed. Plenty of wine options and full bar and food was delicious. Only four stars instead of 5 because I was in a rush and food took longer than should have. Otherwise great experience. "

Alaska Lodge ~ Seattle - Tacoma International Airport, Concourse C
"Great little bar/restaurant at SEA. Its got an alaska theme going on so lots of log type looking ambiance and other outdoorsy touches. A nice respit amidst the busy and often crowded corridors of this section of airport. Fairly standard issue airportt bar food. I've found it to be hit or miss, but a good selection of beers and decent bar staff make this place worth finding. Plus when you're sitting at the bar you have your back to all the craziness of the airport behind you. Allowing one to truly forget they are in an airport for a few fleeting moments prior to the cattle call. Also, there are bathrooms very close to this place making it somewhat possible to not have to close out every time you need to 'call your stockbroker'. You just have to think outside the box to hold your seat and make sure your belongings are safe and secure. Love me a themed airport bar. Especially one as far out as an alaskan wilderness feel. Great way to prepare for the next few hours cramped in that tin can in the sky. "

Karl Strauss ~ Los Angeles International Airport, Terminal 8, Near Gate 81B
"IN MY 65 YEARS I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISRESPECTED AS I WAS AT THE LAX TERMINAL 8 KARL SRAUSS BREWING CO BY A BARTENDER ROBERT AT 9:20PM ON 9-14-2010. HE EVEN MADE MY WIFE MAD. SEVERAL CUSTOMERS WHO OVER HEARD MR SHARP AND HIS COMMENTS LEFT THE BAR AND STATED IF THATS THE WAY CUSTOMERS ARE TREATED THEY WOULD GO ELSEWHERE. HE SEEMS TO HAVE A MENTAL COMPLEX AND A POWER / EGO PROBLEM. HE IS COSTING THE COMPANY BUSINESS AND NEEDS TO BE TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY! IF HE WAS IN MY EMPLOY, I WOULD FIRE HIM INSTANTLY!"

Sammys Beach Bar and Grill ~ Kahului Airport, Central Building, 2nd level
"Been a while since I was here, but I remember the food was actually pretty good. Service was classic hawaii meaning not that great but whateva, you're in paradise. Enjoyed my tropical beverage. Everythings a expensive... I know, shocker, but its a double whammy, its an airport and its in hawaii. Worth the price though because it all goes to charity"

T.G.I. Friday’s ~ San Francisco International Airport, Terminal 1, at entrance to Gates 20-36
"The TGI Friday's at SFO is like most TGI Friday's. Service tends to be quick, however unlike a non-airport TGI Friday's watch out for resting the plastic fork and knife on the skillet if you get a fajita...it'll melt!
This restaurant is often my first or last stop at Terminal 1 depending on when I am coming or going.

Wolfgang Puck Express ~ T.F. Green Airport, South Concourse, near gate 1A
"The Wolfgang Puck Express is like all other Wolfgang Puck food carts at airports around the country.
I do find the food to be dwindling later in the day. If you want a selection of sandwiches after 3:00pm you may be hard pressed to have many sandwiches to choose from.

Billy Goat ~ Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Terminal 1, Near C19, Food Court
"This place has good burgers. The Italian beef looked good too, but didn't try it. Greasy but well worth it. Nice enough staff and a good attempt at capturing the feeling of the original (I guess, never been there). If nothing else, it's a cool name. Worth checking out if you are near bye."

Daniels Bistro + Bar ~ Los Angeles International Airport, Tom Bradley International, Arrivals, Before Security
"It's about damn time this airport made some improvements. Flying into LAX is about as exciting as the thought of contracting herpes. yeah, not very exciting.
However, Daniels is a HUGE improvement and a much welcomed new spot to hit up if you are ever unfortunate enough to spend time in this god forsaken dump of an airport. Wherever you are in the airport, if you have time, go to Daniels and save yourself the agony of almost all the other establishments. This place was great: surprisingly good food, very nice service (at LAX this is almost unheard of), and of course, they made my drink the way i like it. 5 stars and a welcome relief for anyone looking to actually enjoy themselves while subjected to LAX.
Thank you Daniels... I knew LAX had it in'em to get something right. Can't wait to see you next time I'm sent this direction. "

"Wow. What a pleasant experience. Delicious well thought out menu. From sushi to cool takes on local cuisine. Great space, very comfortable, modern yet well done. And my drink was made exactly how I like it. The bartenders know what they're doing here. That in and of itself is worth its weight in gold. Hats off to this place. "

Jet Rock ~ Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Terminal BC, Center Pier
"This place shouldn't even be in business. I had to give it a star, but it doesn't deserve that. The staff are very rude and extremely unpleasant. Waitress insulted both my wife and myself and didn't even seem to give a hoot that other customers were present at the same time (really shows how much they care). Asked to speak with the manager who promptly made himself unavailable by claiming to be at the loading dock. I've seem Wal-Mart employees with more class and intelligence than the people that work here. I suppose that explains why a place with 20 or so tables only had customers at two of them (no we didn't stay). It would seem to me, that any business in our Nations Captitol would do everything possible to ensure the satisfaction of its customers. It really makes me wonder about any business where the employees won't even give you their name when asked. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but, it appears they don't want the message to get out that they are the worst place to go. If nobody knows anything, then nobody can say anything. Well, I can!
So - for those of you thinking about dropping in - save yourself the hassle and don't. There are plenty of other places that are well worth the extra few steps to get to."

They were rude to them in front of customers and also the customers DONT NEED TO KNOW THAT YOUR LOW LIFE MANAGERS ARE SLEEPING WITH THE WAITRESS!!!! THE MANAGERS SHOULD ALL GET SEXAULY HARASSMENT!! Reilly's Daughter ~ Chicago Midway Airport, Midway Triangle
"I may have just found my favorite airport bar ever. This place is incredible: great pub feel to it, good beers (smithwicks, guiness and all the usual suspects), good music and tucked away. The bartenders are all super nice, which is almost impossible to find at airport bars and they'll even make you a to-go ;) If you find yourself at MDW, check this place out for sure. You might actually enjoy your time at the airport. "

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen ~ Bush Intercontinental Airport, Terminal E, Near E3
"Einstein had it all wrong. The Theory of Relativity is not 'energy equals matter times the speed of light squared'. No, relativity is defined as how many days you've been out of the country and in need of comfortable food and drink.
Poor Jim had been confined in a little rathole in Mexico City and heading to some other South American dictatorship. As divine providence would have it, the only connecting flight that didn't involve propellers went through the Houston Airport named for the lesser of two evils bearing the name George Bush.
With four hours to spend walking the E Concourse, Jim decided that an airport steak at Pappadeaux has to beat anything with the name Chili's in it. Even if it involved climbing two flights of stairs to get there.
Luis the waiter was quick to return with the initial Bloody Mary. Being in Texas, the drink was sufficiently doctored with some sort of spicy sauce. With the liquid fortification, Jim was ready to focus on the edible portion of the visit.
Keep in mind that Jim lived in Austin for years and his oldest born son has a Texian passport by virtue of being born there. Jim has eaten at Pappa's restuarants before and has a mostly good memory of those adventures. Obviously, no airport authority is going to allow a franchise to have an open pit, but a traveler can't be too picky.
Invoking the Theory of Relativity, it's important to understand that Pappadeaux in the airport is nothing like visiting a Pappa's restaurant out in the real world. But, Jim's filet with crabmeat in a buere blanc turned out quite nice for airport food. Paired with a Penfolds Shiraz, it was almost enough to make Jim forget that he had 8 hours in coach class on the way to Acunsion, La Paz or Montevideo.
In the real world, this airport concession might rate a 3. But as a port in the storm, it's between a 4 and a 5. The extra half point comes from having a hostess who pretends to laugh at an old salaryman's jokes."

Martini Bar ~ John F. Kennedy International Airport, Terminal 1, Gate 9
"After buying food and beverages at Panini Express, which I have found out since are the parent company of Martini Bar, I sat at a table just outside the bar area behind Panini Express. I was approached by a quite unpleasant woman from behind the bar who informed me that the seat I was in was reserved for bar patrons only and that I would have to use the seats further outside the bar area. It was obvious that all of those seats were occupied and I was unable to sit at any of them. Of course being british I just moved but when my wife and 13 year old nephew joined me we had nowhere to sit and enjoy the food and drinks we had purchased and I repeat, from a company under the same umbrella as Martini Bar. We decided to sit at one of the same tables I had just been asked to move from to await a seat in the other area. Once again approached by the same unpleasant woman we were told to move even though it was obvious there were still no free seats. I found this kind of treatment and the fact we were barked at by someone in the service industry, in the USA of all places, where i thought customers were supposed to be valued, to be unacceptable. It beggars belief that we could be treated in that manner by an employee of the same company to which we had just paid 40 dollars to.
A very disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable holiday."

Caper's Cafe - Le Bar ~ Portland International Airport, South Lobby, Between Concourses B and C, After security
"Capers is a great place to relax before the flight, particularly the curved bar at the end towards the atrium. You have a good view of the runways and there is often live music in the adjacent atrium. Unlike some other airport bars, they have enough staff that they are not running around crazy. They have the time to chat for a few minutes and recognize regular travelers. "

Taberna Del Tequila (C11-20) ~ Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Terminal 4, Gates C11-20
"Tequila is in the name of the bar, need I say more. Tequila before a long flight is a good thing, and they have lots of it. Food is ok, beer and cocktails are numerous, but do me a favor and just enjoy some straight tequila shots. The good stuff tastes sooo much better than you will believe. Service is hit or miss, but that won't matter much after a few shots."

Chili's (1) ~ Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Terminal 1, Near B14
"Have you ever done something that, once it's over, you look back, and can't believe you did it, but you're glad you did, even if you won't ever do it again? Because I have. I went to a Chilis. A Chilis in an airport. And I kind of liked it.
Don't judge me. I can get my hate on Chilis. And this particular location did manage to greet me with their dumpster bins full right in front of the receiving area. But ...
... Chilis exists to make a profit, and they don't pretend otherwise. That's why they sell deep fried butter coated with salt. People like that. So don't think Chilis doesn't know the markup on alcohol. They do. Buh-lee dat.
And that makes them incredibly efficient at serving it. Which means, gentle reader, that this place is an assembly line for getting your drink on.
Like bangin a hot midget, drinking at an airport Chilis isn't something I'm proud of. But I'm not ashamed of it, either. Make of that what you will."

Squatters Airport Pub ~ Salt Lake City International Airport, Terminal 2, Concourse C
"This airport pub is by far the best place in the airport to get a bite to eat and definitely my favorite spot to grab a cold beer. Their food is very good, and not just by airport food standards. You will actually enjoy your meal, and the beers are true craft beers (which is funny considering it's in Utah). And to top it all off, and the reason I'm giving it five stars is that the service is consistently good which I have found to be the most inconsistent aspect of any airport experience in the past. Here's to good beer in Utah!"

Vino Volo ~ Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Concourse A
"When I flew through BWI a few weeks ago, I was shocked to see a location in an airport carrying such high quality wines, and then I was even more surprised to see they were pouring them by the glass. The staff was friendly, charismatic, and helpful in choosing a flight of wine that suited my taste. I had a cheese plate and some olives from their fresh and funky small-plate menu-- it was hard NOT to order something when everything looked so tasty. I left feeling refreshed, happy, and like I even made some new friends."

Vino Volo ~ Sacramento International Airport, Terminal A, near gate A1
"WOW... now this is what I'm talking about. Listen, I like bourbon, but in an airport, you don't often get to relax and enjoy yourself while eating good food and drinking good wine.
This place is worth finding. They have flights of wine that actually taste good... I know, can you believe it? good wine in the airport. It's incredible. Plus the food is gourmet and they have comfortable seating to kick back and relax in while waiting for your flight. Don't tell my friends back home, but I'm sold on Vino Volo!"

Home Turf Sports Bar ~ Los Angeles International Airport, Terminal 6, Near Gate 67A
"BEWARE!
My wife and I were waiting for our flight. The waitress left us sit for 15 minutes without acknowledging that we were there. The place was not busy. We ordered a Bloody Mary each and split a 14oz. beer for a chaser. They charged us $37.28 for 2 Bloody Marys and a beer without tip! I questioned the price and they said that they used premium Vodka. They never asked what Vodka we wanted."

Jester's Bar & Grill ~ New Orleans International Airport, Concourse D
"Horrible bar, as are most at the Louis Armstrong (Mosin) Airport. The help is surly; most of them stand around jibber-jabbering amongst themselves, then ask "Whachoo wan'?" when they realize that you've been standing there for several minutes. There is a serious lack of seating inside the lounge, so you almost always have to take your food to the gate seats. Finally, the drinks are god-awful expensive, due to the typical corruption of New Orleans city government in awarding all fo the concession contracts to convicted felon Stan "Pampy" Barre. My double Canadian whiskey and diet coke (which comes in a tiny plastic cup) cost $13.94. I've had Miller Lite drafts here that cost upwards of $9. I would recommend anyone to get your drinks before you come to the airport, or wait until you get to a real city."

"This place is awesome. If you are stuck at the airport late night, this is the bar to get to. They stay open much later than all the others. They have great food and service as well. The Boat House ~ Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, Terminal 4, Concourse H
"This place is the opposite of good: too small, standing room only (literally), so dirty your natural instinct will be to start trying to clean the years of yuck that have built up on the tables. Bartenders can't keep up with the demand and your eating option is nathan's hot dogs... it's an experience for sure, but one that you won't want to experience again. The boat house = Fail."

"Rather enjoyed this place. Sit on the bar side of the restaurant for table service. And for great service, hope that Alyssa is working. She is super helpful, fast and friendly. A refreshing change from the usual airport bar experience. Food is average. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. The beers were great. Decent selection and some local brews on tap which I appreciate. Tvs in most every corner and very close to gates and most importantly a bathroom. Perfect casual spot to have a few before the flight. Not bad lefty! "

DuClaw Brewing Company ~ Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Main Terminal, Near Southwest Ticket Counter
"I find it kind of cool to have a DuClaw brewery in our airport... too bad it's before security but not a big deal. If you aren't familiar with the brews, they offer a sampler where you can try small amounts of different beers. Good people watching opportunities from the bar, standard yet decent pub food and couple of tv's to distract. All in all a good experience and a place I'd go again, mostly to enjoy the beers. Also, if you're picking up someone from the airport, you could catch a drink while you wait. "

New Belgium Hub ~ Denver International Airport, Concourse B (far east side) near gate B 80
"As far as I’m concerned, there are exactly two things in life that are inexcusable. There is never a good reason to invade Russia in the wintertime, and there is never a good excuse for a half-empty airport bar to keep a rapidly-sobering-up flier waiting for eight--count ’em, eight--painful minutes before taking a drink order. (It was a shift change, but still. Fat kids can run a mile in eight minutes. What’s their excuse?)
Compounding my displeasure was the decor: exposed ductwork, blonde pine trim, muted pastel walls. If that’s your thing, super. But for me, it was like taking a trip back to the hottest gastropubs of 1987. The lack of wireless connectivity in the back room sucked, as did the painfully slow service. Maybe they’re trying to imitate European standards of efficiency. If that’s the case, it needs to stop.
The chef salad I ordered was totally unremarkable--not good, not bad, just meh. The one thing this place has going for it is some unusually good craft beers. I had their dark ale and I was impressed with how much punch it packed. So, to sum up, like Belgium itself, unless you’re already nearby, it’s probably not worth hauling your ass over there."

Chef Jimmy's Bistro & Spirits ~ Denver International Airport, Concourse A
"When you think about it, there is no way hundreds of tons of steel, fuel, and flesh should propel themselves 30,000 feet over the ground for hours at a time. Don’t tell me about Bernoulli’s Principle. It’s just wrong. For that reason, like all sane people, I try to pack as much alcohol into my system as I can before a flight. Unfortunately, on a recent trip out of Denver, I only had about 10 minutes before my plane left from Gate 40. So I went to Chef Jimmy’s Bistro. I told the hostess, who told the waiter, who brought me a double Jack Daniels in four minutes flat. A second arrived, with the check, two minutes later. Four drinks in, I was able to stagger to my flight to Reagan National and fall fast asleep for takeoff. Huge props to “ Jimmy’s.”"
