Le Grand Comptoir ~ Bush Intercontinental Airport, Terminal C, South, Main Lobby
"When I first realized that I'd be flying through Houston I was not thrilled about it. Texas doesn't excite me much to say the least; However, as I was strolling from one gate to the next I saw this little wine bar and damn near fell over. I almost asked somebody to pinch me as I couldn't believe what I was seeing in Texas of all places.
Once I found my gate, I quickly returned to the wine bar. This place is incredible. Talk about a nice way to spend a layover. The food is fantastic and pairs very well with the wine offerings. And if you're not a big wine fan, they have a full bar and lots of beers... it's a great atmosphere, and definitely worthy of your layover dollars. Go out of your way to find this place."
