La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant ~ Nashville International Airport, Concourse A, Gate A2
"On Tap: nothing.

La Hacienda was my last stop on my BNA bar crawl endeavor and I was pressed for time. This was a definite chug and run.

It was near closing time and the service was good so they are getting the benefit of the doubt with the 4 stars. The place was empty, but Telemundo was on the TV which made me think they had to serve authentic Mexican food. "

Tennessee Tavern ~ Nashville International Airport, Concourse B, Gate B2
"On Tap: Budweiser, Bud Light, Bass & Sam Adams.

This is a straight-up airport bar. When I saw 'tavern' in the title and the whiskey barrels adorning the front as I was walking up my expectations were high...but very ordinary.

Small Bar seating, chinsey pours, chinsey service...but the food could be the saving grace here. The guy next to me ordered a pulled pork sandwich and the serving was huge. I looked at the menu and noticed the prices were very reasonable compared to my first two stops."

Tootsies Orchid Lounge ~ Nashville International Airport, Concourse C, Gate 6
"On tap: Miller Lite, Bud Light, Heineken, Shock Top & Sam Adams.

First Impression: Live music at an airport...true story.

Tootsies was stop number 3 and had a great charm and folksy feel. Very hospitable staff and the plethora of pics wall-to-wall adds to the charm.

I noticed that there were several people that came in only to eat...as someone unfamiliar with the Nashville...I figured that Whitt's BBQ is a big deal around here.

The biggest problem with this place is when the music stopped, you just found yourself awkwardly staring into your beer reflecting on your live...realizing that you are only one misstep from complete failure and you are not the favorite child in the family.

So yeah, make sure there is music playing."

Gibson Cafe ~ Nashville International Airport, Concourse C, Gate C20
"On Tap: Budweiser, Bud Light, Sam Adams & Shock Top.

My first impression of the second bar on my BNA bar crawl was I really, really like this place. When I read on the sign out front that for $3.00 you could add ANY shot to your beer purchase...well it was love at first sight. Bright lights, great music and vintage guitars adorn the walls.

The bar was very lively with everyone openly talking to one another about where they were coming from and where they were going. Not sure if this was do to the free pouring of alcohol or shot and a beer special.

This felt more of a bar-bar with plenty of space, and not the airport bar where they shoehorn the most amount people into the least amount of space.

They card absolutely everyone...if you have an expired ID, no dice.

Great service, but the food portions looked like two White Castles for the price of a Kobe burger. Drink here...think twice about eating."

O'Charley's ~ Nashville International Airport, Concourse C, Gate 10
"I had a two and a half hour layover from Chicago to Tampa and decided that a BMA bar crawl made the most sense.

One important item that made this process enjoyable was the flight departure times in all of the establishments. Very handy in the bar crawl time logistics department.

On Tap Bud Light, Miller Lite, Heineken & Sam Adams.

I'm glad I got this one out of the way first. I don't like any of the faux Americana style restaurants, where the menu consists of burgers or more burgers...but if you want the safest bet food-wise this is your best bet.

Ful Liquor bar..BUT...they use the automated pour for the liquor and as a patron at an airport bar I just feel like I'm being double-ly ripped off.

Advice...order a martini, it is the same price as a mixed drink, but you gat an extra .5oz of alcohol.

The fanciest thing about O'Charley's was my receipt was given to me in a Brandy Snifter."
