Martini Bar ~ John F. Kennedy International Airport, Terminal 1, Gate 9
"After buying food and beverages at Panini Express, which I have found out since are the parent company of Martini Bar, I sat at a table just outside the bar area behind Panini Express. I was approached by a quite unpleasant woman from behind the bar who informed me that the seat I was in was reserved for bar patrons only and that I would have to use the seats further outside the bar area. It was obvious that all of those seats were occupied and I was unable to sit at any of them. Of course being british I just moved but when my wife and 13 year old nephew joined me we had nowhere to sit and enjoy the food and drinks we had purchased and I repeat, from a company under the same umbrella as Martini Bar. We decided to sit at one of the same tables I had just been asked to move from to await a seat in the other area. Once again approached by the same unpleasant woman we were told to move even though it was obvious there were still no free seats. I found this kind of treatment and the fact we were barked at by someone in the service industry, in the USA of all places, where i thought customers were supposed to be valued, to be unacceptable. It beggars belief that we could be treated in that manner by an employee of the same company to which we had just paid 40 dollars to.
A very disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable holiday."
