Is AirportBars.com free?

Yes, it is free to use our site!

Unless you would like to advertise.  For more information on advertising, please  contact our advertising department by filling out the feedback form in detail.

Why just the United States?

Our ultimate goal is complete and total domination of airport bars throughout the world. However, Rome wasn't built in a day.  Thus, we must first conquer the United States. Fear not my friends, world domination is in the cards.

Who uses AirportBars.com?

Smart people.

How do I reset the search fields if I choose to use the search function to the right of the map?

Simply click on the logo that is located on the upper left hand side of the Site or click on the home page icon at the top of the site next to our logo (it looks like a little house).  This will take you back to the home page and reset all search fields.

How do I add an icon or avatar to my user profile?

While signed into your account, click on the 'My Account' button. It is located in the top right corner of your screen when logged in.  This will take you to your 'My Account' page where you will need to click the 'Modify my Account' Button.  This will allow you to make changes to your user profile. Look for the 'Community Features' section. In this section you will see an 'Icon' option (otherwise known as an avatar). Click on Browse, select the picture you would like to use and save.

What does AirportBars.com do with my personal information?

AirportBars.com is committed to your privacy.  Please see our Privacy Policy  for more information.

The bar I know isn't listed?

Please let us know all about the bar so that we can quickly add it to the site.  Feel free to email us information and photos.

The information about a bar is not accurate?

First, gasp at the atrocity. Next, let us know so that we can fix it. Just go to the feed back page and complete it  in detail.

Will I get a discount if I mention AirportBars.com when I order?

This will depend on the airport bar that you patronize, local laws and a hand full of other things.

However, if we are running any promotions, it will be very obvious when you go to the informational page describing the bar as well as at the bar itself.  You can also check under the 'Specials' category for the bar to see what regular specials are offered.

Should I mention AirportBars.com when I'm at the bar?

This is completely up to you. We love people spreading the word. But you might get 'super star' treatment as a result. If you don't mention it, then your review might be a little more unbiased. Like we said, the choice is yours.

The bar I'm reviewing gave me something at a discount or for free?

Never accept discounts or anything free in exchange for reviews.

If, on the other hand, you received something at a discount or for free independent of your review, you should disclose that information in your review.

What types of things should I include in my reviews?

Once again, it's totally up to you. You can get as detailed as you like, or you can just say a few things.  Either way, we appreciate you taking the time to contribute to the site. Just be sure to abide by the Terms of Use.  We hate to remove reviews, so keep it clean please.

What's the deal with the ad's on the side of the site, I thought you said this was a free site?

It is a free site for our users, but we have to pay the bills somehow. Thus, the ad's.

Be a sport and click on the ad's if you see something that interests you and support our advertisers. They help us help you, so help them in return so that they can continue to help us and then we can keep this beautiful cycle going.

What are 'Sponsored' Listings?

Bar owners have the option to pay to become a 'sponsored' listing. This means their bar listing will include more information, more pictures, links, videos, menu's and more.

If a bar owner has paid for a 'sponsored' listing, will AirportBars.com remove negative reviews?

No. That is the beauty of this site. We want our fellow travelers to know what they can expect when saddling up to the bar and laying down their hard earned dollars.

I'm a bar owner and I'm not happy about all of the negative comments?

Unfortunately and fortunately, this might be a wake-up call. The world is changing and travelers expect more from their airport watering hole. Let's face it, there is no such thing as a business that has never had an unsatisfied customer. Occasional negative reviews are normal. Look for patterns, or specific complaints and address them at your discretion so that in the future, travelers go out of their way to patronize your bar.

A review is missing that used to be there... what happened?

Either the review was flagged for some reason and is undergoing investigation or AirportBars.com has removed the review for not complying with the Terms of Use of the site.  Please read the Terms of Use for more information.

What is the 'Flag this Review' function?

If a review is in violation of the Terms of Use, then you can flag it and we will review to see if it complies with our Terms of Use.   Please write appropriate reviews and don't abuse the 'Flag this review' feature.

Can I write reviews from multiple accounts?

No. You will lose all of  your accounts if you try and jerk us around. You get one account only.   Seriously, don't be a pain in the ass. We don't have the time or patience for that stuff, and as a result, you will be 'cut off'.

I had a bad experience at a bar. Can I write a negative review?

Fellow travelers want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly.  We want to hear it all. Just be aware that under most circumstances your opinions are protected, but posting false information can have legal backlash
